How to get the most out of your swimming lessons
Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of your swimming lessons…
- Avoid sugary foods and drinks prior to the lesson, sugar highs do not help concentration .
- Arrive in plenty of time so there’s no rush and encourage a toilet stop .
- Put cap and goggles on before entering the lesson. Try them out at home in the bath or shower to avoid fiddling and disruption during the lesson.
- For health and safety reasons please inform us if your child is not toilet trained.
Togs
Baggy beach shorts and rash tops are NOT permitted for School Age children. Beach shorts create drag and prevent effective kicking and body position. Tight fitting togs can be purchase from most clothing stores or we have sample sizes for you to try on and order.
Caps and goggles
Feel free to try on the display goggles and caps. If the desk is unattended write your contact details on the sheet provided and we will call you back. All participants 3 years and above must wear a swimming cap.
Poolside behavior
At Easyswim we strive to achieve the perfect learning environment. Please keep noise to a minimum on poolside. Keep other spectators and siblings away from the poolside to avoid any distractions and keep participants and spectators safe.
Please do not attempt to give instructions to your child during their lesson. This will only create confusion and distract them from the teacher. However lots of praise and encouragement is welcome.
